LUIGI'S PIZZA AND ITALIAN BUFFET

Chef Brandon Godmaire (center, black shirt), and owner Luigi Mazzilli (far right, dark blue shirt), are putting out true Italian food at 1443 South Belcher Road (535-3354). Unlike many area Italian restaurants, the characteristic Greek flavoring of cinnamon is missing from this fare. Luigi proudly tells his customers that the authentic Italian recipes have been handed down from his Sicilian grandmother to his mom to him. Luigi and Chef Brandon have worked for hours, collaborating in the kitchen to perfect the sauces.
The buffet bar is for the hungry. For less than seven bucks there's pasta with red sauce, white sauce and bolognese sauce. Garlic rolls are so tasty they tempt one back for more. The pizza is fresh tasting with a distinct old world touch.

It's succulent looking and appears  light as a feather.
The Italian deli and buffet are located at the Northeast corner of Belcher Road and Nursery Road (across from Big Lots).

Luigi was poised to open some five weeks ago, but the debut was delayed by a clumsy bureaucratic inspection process. Luigi's crew is a group of fun- loving energetic people who make lunch and dinner a culinary treat.
