The Whistlestop 

The Whistle Stop Open Air Restaurant in Safety Harbor has a live band playing during dinner hours on Friday and Saturday.  It's perfect for those who want the excitement of a driving rock beat without staying up late to hear the regular night club bands that don't start until nine.Clearwater Sun Internet Humor Harvester Editor Jim Nelson described the place as being "Quirky  and tasty. Fried green tomato sandwiches are a favorite."  The acts are diverse, with the Double Time Trio appearing frequently. Clearwater Sun guest reviewer Vivan Little was pleased.  "The food was really tasty.  Also, the beer was properly chilled, something that is often omitted in out- door restaurants.  It's one of the few places in the county that can legally have a smoking section.  If you go there on the third Thursday of the month, the city has a street festival with even more music.  It's a favorite of mine."
